My name is Mirza Irfan Baig.  I was born in India and was educated at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from where I got a B.Tech.(Hons.) in Aeronautical Engineering.  I got my M.S. and Ph.D. from Purdue University. Go Boilermakers!

I have lived in the U.S.A. since 1973 and worked for Various Fortune 500 companies. Currently, I am the Chief Engineer at Duaratek, Inc., Columbia, SC. Besides work, I enjoy bridge and tennis.

Urdu literature is my passion.  I love poetry.
